When deciding what to paint in my studio, I very often just imagine where I’d like to go, or where I’d like to be, and that’s it….instant inspiration for a two hour “trip” to Provence while I paint an impressionist landscape painting of an old chateau and Lavender….then off for a long stroll through the California Poppies via an oil done with my trusty palette knife…then maybe a quick stop at a vineyard,  and another short layover in Texas that can be caught in miniature ….these are done with the help of examples, or using just memory and imagination…I’m easily amused, and while I have happily lost myself in the process of painting, I also emerge refreshed from my sojourns….cheap, but very rewarding, travel…   :}      More of my art is at http://www.lynnefrenchdesigns.com
