I’ve had visitors, then appointments, and errands for the last two-ish weeks.   The time I had between the visits and errands, etc., I victimized myself with my own disorganization.   I enjoyed the visits and various festivities, but I find I also am more than a bit of a recluse, not to mention a creature of comfortable habit.

The upshot was that during that time I didn’t get much painting done.   By yesterday I had begun to seriously suffer from separation anxiety, and was feeling the need to return to my ‘native soil’, so to speak, and do some painting.   I’m well aware I have to paint for the business side of things, but I also feel a different need to paint if I’m away from it too long.   I get antsy and agitated about not painting.

Today I’m armed with pent up painting energy and a collection of mental images, and I am very excited to be able to ‘hole up’ in my studio and paint until it gets too dark to see  :}

Shown is a Zen inspired watercolor on tissue paper painting, and a plein air oil landscape painting I have done….see more of my work for sale on Etsy at www.lynnefrenchdesigns.com
